Meet the creator of Rogue~One Productions – Chris Corbett

 

Chris has more than a decade of experience in web site and marketing collateral design and development. His passion for IT and design developed at a young age. Beginning in elementary school, his grandfather C. Stewart, a retired Navy officer, PhD and computer programmer, would send Chris electronics for every gift for every occasion. Chris had an inquisitive mind and would take apart and rebuild the electronic devices which would undoubtedly always work.

 

Grandfather Stewart, who built his own IT company from scratch growing it into a successful and thriving business, became Chris’ mentor and biggest supporter and hoped that his grandson would follow in his footsteps with a career in the military and electronics.

 

After graduating from high school, Chris had a change of heart towards his life long career and moved to Virginia from Texas to attend college to major in business law, much to his grandfather’s dismay. Grandfather Stewart’s final contract was with the USS Abraham Lincoln writing a stealth program to hide a 97,500 ton carrier. These factors influenced Chris to rethink his direction.

 

In 1999, following his term in the Navy, Chris began his IT career in the hotel industry. For the next four years, Chris worked with various hotels in Texas managing their computer software programs.

 

In 2002, Chris moved to Delaware where he was IT manager for the DuPont family’s Inn at Montchanin Village. In this role, Chris was responsible for the property’s fiber optics, and computer system operations. While there, Chris attended the Art Institute of Delaware where he studied web design and development which expanded his role at the property to create web sites for the owner’s retail stores.

 

In 2004, Chris moved to Dallas and back to his Texas roots. Since then, he has been with a privately owned public relations agency. While there, he has honed his craft in IT managing software programs and hardware for the firm. Additionally, he has handled web design and development, collateral and presentation design, and email marketing for the firm, its clients including consumer companies ranging in industries including wireless, automotive, apparel and more, as well as for non-profits organizations.

 

Because of his long-time passion in IT which morphed into collateral and web design and development, his desire to create and collaborate with others and to live out his grandfather’s dream for his grandson, Chris created Rogue~One Productions.
